Plucked carefully by hand between May and June, the green fly fed leaves, impart its unique grape like flavor and coppery shade.
The steeped liquor reveals a deep coppery amber note. A strong muscatel punch with fruity undertones reaches your olfactory glands when you smell this beautiful tea. One sip reveals the rich muscatel character with a touch of honey, with a balancing acidity that leaves a floral refreshing grape like sensation that dances on your tongue.
How we prepare our Summer Solstice Muscatel, ideal before and after meal tea:
For optimum flavour natural spring water is recommended
1. Bring fresh water to first boil at 90°C
2. Add one heaped teaspoon full for each person to the water in a porcelain pot.
3. Steep for 5 minutes, before strain and serve. Sip tepid.
